Camila Giorgi will put her modelling career on hold as she kicks off her Australian Open campaign.
The Italian tennis star, 31, faces Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the opening round at Melbourne Park. She'll be looking to improve on her best result Down Under of reaching the third round.
But no matter the outcome, Giorgi can always fall back on her other talent - posing for the camera. When she's not out on the court, she works as a lingerie model.
Giorgi certainly isn't afraid to flaunt her slim figure with her Instagram, which boasts 650k followers, filled with raunchy snaps in the bedroom and on the beach.
And they led to an underwear storm during 2021's Wimbledon when they resurfaced online mid-tournament. One disgruntled user wrote on social media: “Come on! You are gorgeous but do you really need to expose your body in public to boost your confidence?’’
She also caused controversy with her sporting outfit at last year's French Open when she was pulled up by the match umpire for the size of the De'Longhi advertising logo on her dress.
World No. 69 Giorgi stood firm and said: "I don't have any change, this is my only dress. I played with it before."
The former Canadian Open champion has been back in the headlines in recent weeks after allegedly using false Covid vaccination paperwork to enter last year's Australian Open.
Her family doctor Daniela Grillone was arrested last February and charged with administering hundreds of fake serums and documents to high-profile Italians.
She has since told Italian newspaper Corriere del Veneto: "I can confirm with absolute certainty that none of the vaccines against the Giorgi family have actually been administered.
"I have not received any payment in that case. I am deeply upset and sorry for my action."
Giorgi's still been allowed to go ahead as planned at this year's event, with a WTA spokesperson telling News Corp: "We are aware of the allegations and are currently monitoring the situation and any investigations that may be brought forward."
